Was thinking the same myself, he cant be on massive wages even a two year deal gives us added security that we won’t lose him, plus boosts his confidence that we want him.
Can’t see him being all that much more important if Morelos leaves, surely with the money we’ll get from any potential transfer we’ll invest some of it in another striker. Would like to see Hardie and other youth players given the chance though. Once we wrap up the title with 3 games to go this year throw them in

I would rather it had been a minimum of 2 years. But if Alfredo leaves in the summer, Hardie can come back and fight for a jersey. If he does well, his contract will be renewed for a longer stretch.
If he continues to score at the same rate, we will be very happy.
