The least we can expect from referees is the protection of players from overzealous challenges.
If something was done by the SFA it would have been a timely reminder to those players that this sort of behaviour won’t be tolerated, but nothing done about it.
Clancy’s word’s “every one knows what’s at stake this year with Celtic going for 10 in a row” so I take it that includes maiming Rangers players in the process and getting off Scot free.
On Sunday we have another madman with a history against Rangers players Ryan Porteous.

It was a straight red card all day long,everyone knows that. Wait for the squealing from the east if one of their players gets assaulted in the same manner.

Next time it’s brought up on Clyde, listen to Spew Keevans the raging Mick. He spends zero time on the tackle and rants about Stevie G mentioning “if that had been Morelos”, with the reason “that’s got nothing to do with it”. It’s got EVERYTHING to do with it you absolute pie. For one the tackle was on Morelos, and for two, SG is bang on, if Morelos had been the one doing that to the United player he’d have seen straight red, no question. It’s one rule for one, one rule for another. Has been so blatantly been open season on us since pre-admin. Wanks the lot of them.
