Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wasn’t exactly enthused by his side’s performance in the 2-0 win over Stranraer at the weekend. The Ibrox side might’ve made it through to the next round of the Scottish Cup but the performance against the League One strugglers left a lot to be desired. After the match Steven Gerrard bemoaned…
I would excuse Halliday from that. He joined us in a lower division and has been part of the journey, he would die for the club, but everybody knows he is not the quality of player that we now have. He always gives everything he has, but what he has is no longer good enough. I doubt his contract will be renewed, but I will always be grateful for his time with us.
I don’t think the other two can say they gave of their best.
You should add Ojo to that list .None of the 4 contributed anything ,or have done for weeks . Jones is now suffering for his own stupidity and needs a Barisic type revival to rescue his Rangers career .Barker was a cheap gamble, when it looked like we wouldnt get Kent , based on his performances for Hibs .The gamble has failed and we would be better giving Middleton or Murphy a run .Ojo has talent but his attitude stinks , should be sent back and Halliday is hopeless , even against Stranraer he couldnt get into decent overlapping positions .He is a lucky man to have lasted so long but will go in the summer.
