Rangers defender Jon Flanagan was hooked at halftime against Hearts after toiling at Tynecastle with his replacement Matt Polster looking a much better option. The former England international says he is eager to earn a new deal at Ibrox [Herald] but on current form, Flanno will struggle to convince the Rangers hierarchy he deserves it.…

His next act should be to close the door behind him as he leaves Ibrox!

He wasn’t the only one that failed to impress to pick this game when Hearts made all of our players look ordinary is a bit unfair, Polster definitely made a difference coming in but didn’t change the outcome Flannagin played safe and in this particular game that was needed he wasn’t on for the killer goal after all.

Flanagan wasn’t the worst, in the first half? He didn’t create anything, but he didn’t give anything away, unlike the much trumpeted Jack, Davis and the Finn, who managed to pass it to the opposition every time he touched the ball!

As I said last night, we were Crap! Someone said that “this result will bring out all the doom mongers and pessimists” and we need to dust ourselves off and keep fighting!"

Of course…but it’s difficult to avoid pessimism, when you watch a so called “title challenging team” play like a bunch of under 10’s…in fact that’s insulting to under 10’s.

Being realistic ( not just pessimistic), we’re down the gurgler, this year! Celtic are now odds on, I regret to say!

We need to be planning for next year, by thinking about the sale money for Tavernier and Morelos and, how it can be spent on some players with “balls”, instead of the dilettantes we saw yesterday!
