Former Rangers boss Mark Warburton continues to split opinion long after departing Ibrox – but his recent interview with Open Goal shows he never really got to grips with just how big a job he had. Warburton has spoken a few times about his time at Ibrox and every time you hear him you can’t…
To be honest, I for a long time thought he was a good manager. We got beat by St Johnstone, he learned, we then never lost to a premiership side again in the cup season, the football we played, I thought was very good. His thoughts in getting every Rangers team through the ages at, Ibrox, playing the same system was inspiring. Cup final came, we got beat, but still an optimistic mood for the next season.
His interview about going for 55 and raging with the fans over it, proved he bottled it, he just didn’t have the balls for it, he bought badly and lost the team. To be fair, Davie Weir also looked like he bottled it (I also hate that he has the bells to have a say on this current squad as a go to pundit).
Overall, he flattered to deceive and should have no say on Rangers now!
