Any notion of a title race went out with a whimper last night as the Gers toiled in Edinburgh. But make no mistake – we were let down by some weak officiating and yet again, the major decisions going against us. It’s embarrassing and unfortunately doesn’t seem like it’s going to end anytime soon. But…
Bit harsh Cameron. I get you are upset we all are! But to say not one of our players deserves to be in a title race is a tad over the top I feel. While I accept not all of them do there’s some players I find it hard to say that about. Shagger for example has made one or two mistakes all season. Halliday has barely put a foot wrong, Kent and Morelos have been immense aside from one or two bad games, but nobody is perfect.
The way i see it is we are still a couple of quality players short of being serious contenders, yet we are a hell of a lot closer to achieving 55 than we have been in a long time. It’s looking unlikely it’ll happen this season but it’s close.
And yet you wrote another article blaming the referee for this result .If he and his linesman had done their job we would have won 1-0 or maybe by more as they should have been down to 9 men.The team has been a let down in certain important games but they have also been robbed in various games by disallowed goals, wrongful sendings off and fouls and assault not punished.
The game in Scotland is corrupt and we would need to build a team of superstars to be able to rise above it .We need out of this league.
