Surely it’s just a case of money by being a loan he can pick up the majority or all of his £60k a week wages then when his Southampton deal is up, providing he plays well enough he signs on at Ibrox.
Even if he plays well, chances are, he’ll sign with Rangers again due to the stage he is at in his career.
Above anything else though, he knows Rangers well. I would expect him to have a similar impact to Allan McGregor in that respect. He brings a winning mentality to Ibrox.
