Rangers head to Tynecastle for their first post-split fixture early on Saturday afternoon. The squad will have felt the benefit of a rare weekend off considering the hectic schedule they have had since July. Rangers’ first competitive fixture was on 12th July against Shkupi. So , after a terrific performance and result at Fir Park you think S.G should change the team ? The last two performances have been based on a high press and work rate led by Candeias and others but you think that we should leave out the guy who helped create the first two goals at Fir Park in order to placate the latest call for Middleton to play .He does no work as hard and so is not a replacement in this system for Candeias. Hopefully this won`t happen although I would have him on as sub before Grezda
I almost agree with you, wingers4 ever–as the performance beating Motherwell was very good. I would suggest that we start with the same 11 players, but, maybe after about 65 to 70 minutes, when defenders are getting a bit tired–and slower–we bring on Glen Middleton in place of Candeias. By that time, Candeais will have put in a good shift, and the Hearts defence will not relish facing a fresh Glen Middleton, who could run riot at this stage. I would just add that I would NOT be in any hurry to restore Morelos to the team when his suspension is up two more games from now. He needs to be taught that Rangers can do very well without him.
