Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has hinted that a reported deal for Rennes defender Mexer could be off the table. Speculation over Mexer exploded after Gerrard was pictured with the player in France. Reports then claimed Mexer had been “offered a deal” by Rangers and also invited to the upcoming Old Firm at Ibrox [STV]. But…
I note he did not say “it’s not happening”.
