I’m happy with this news. I have no doubt he will do a job for us, but at 33 there has to be a few concerns.
We need to bear in mind his wage at Ibrox too, this is a stage of his career when he will be looking for a final pay deal.
So, all in all, the club and him are doing each other a favour.
Completely agree. This suits us. What if he comes and isn’t fast enough, or sits too far back. We need an AM or a box-to-box guy, not a DM. Let’s see if Davis can still do it first. Then he may also want more than we will pay

He has 6 months of his contract to go with Southampton so if he is on a loan deal for that length of time then it is likely that Saints are paying part of his wages , that suits him and it suits us. After that he is a free agent so any deal with us would not include money from Saints ,so it would have to be a new contract .It also means both sides can get out of the deal if it doesn`t work out.It is no big deal or cause for concern in my opinion
