Scottish football has united to pay tribute to former Rangers captain Fernando Ricksen after the Dutchman passed away after a fight with Motor Neurone Disease over the last six years. Rangers confirmed the 43-year-old’s death earlier today, with clubs up and down the country taking a moment to remember the former Netherlands international. (Photo by…
He was a decent player, always total full commitment for Gers. He got nine caps for Holland when the team was full of worldwide stars, a true fighter. His family should be so proud of him, I am sure they have so many great memories of his passion, warmth, humour, skill and zest he had for life, a true gent. I know this is a saying that’s used often but in this case it’s not accurate " only the good die young". Fernando will remain alive in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him. All the best Fernando thanks for the great memories.
