Rangers loanee Ross McCrorie has claimed that the South Coast derby will be “right up there” with an Old Firm as he prepares to make his debut in the clash tonight. The two sides meet for the first time in seven years with McCrorie’s Portsmouth having only won one game in seven in the league so…

Reading and also seeing the interview on Sky I got the impression that all he was saying was that fans, taxi drivers other players have said it’s a brilliant game to play in with a great rivalry and atmosphere. I never got the impression that as you say he " Thinks it’s up there" with the old firm derby as an event in itself. My impression was that he said it is “up there” as a game he is looking forward to playing in, in the same way he was excited about playing in the Rangers V Celtic game.
He is obviously not in a position to judge it yet as he has not played in it yet. I actually think there is a wee bit of scurrilous reporting going on here Mr Dude, a twisting of his words to make people think he is talking shite a typical Journalist trick to get a story out of nothing. I do not think for one minute he would be comparing the Derby’s as being on a par with each other he is not that stupid. The readers are also not that stupid to be taken in by headline seeking articles like this one.
