As Alfredo Morelos escapes SFA punishment, rival fans are raging. The idea that these “offences” really weren’t half as bad as some people are angry is preposterous to them. But being honest, they actually weren’t all that extreme. It could’ve easily been a ban – if the referee hadn’t already judged them during the game…
If we are better how are we on less points than last season (under caxinha) the only possible reason is european football in which we got much much better, now it’s time to do it in the league. Lets be honest with ourselves we can’t in all honesty say we have been better in the league, apart from against celtic. In those games we have improved vastly now its time to do it against all the other teams. Time to start putting the ball in the back of the net something we have barely managed in december.
I don’t think it’s a question of whether or not we are better, that should be obvious to any supporter. Sure we may have less points but the overall standard of the league has improved this year. Celtic have almost the same team as last season, but are struggling a lot more this year due to a higher standard of competition.
It doesn’t take much effort to work out we are a better team. If you don’t believe that you haven’t been watching many games. Holt, Pena, Windass, Alvez , Herrera and Wilson all played in the festive old firm game last year, and we were lucky to get a point. That wasn’t long after losing to Hamilton, Dundee, St Johnstone, and Killie. If you don’t think this is a better team I’m shocked. Sure we have struggled a little to get goals recently, but the all round play is far superior. Players who were mediocre last year are now playing much better (Halliday, Morelos, Jack for example). We have struggled a lot in my opinion due to missing some key players such as Arfield, and Kent at the end of the year, but when we have a fully fit squad, along with the additions of Davis, Defoe, and hopefully one or two more we have a real shot at 55.
