I totally agree with your post. Let’s reclaim all of our songs that have been altered and therefore tarnished by bigots. Maybe if we all try really hard we’ll be able to reclaim our club altogether. Get the knuckle draggers out and decent fans will return. This will also help getting new sponsorship in too.
I also agree and would only add that there is surely another club song that we could reasonably start to sing again. That is “Simply The Best”–a great song and one that is superb after a big win of any kind. In recent years we could noy sing that–as we all knew that we were not the best, even in Scotland. Now that we ARE BETTER THAN CELTIC AND WE HAVE PROVEN THAT WE CAN NOW BEAT MANY EUROPEAN TEAMS, I think that we are now entitled to sing Simply the best again–with NO BAD WORDS ADDED.
Spot on. If we love our club as much as every rangers fan says they do- we should be celebrating pro rangers. Sing about the founding fathers, 9IAR, Barcelona 72, Our current squad, coming back from the brink of extinction, the most successful club in the world, Baxter- Greig- Gough- McCoist- Gascoigne- Laudrup… All of this is pro-rangers.
Lets move away from hatred and anti celtic and anti catholicism singing.
The same goes for the wee f*nnies that jump on to the park when we score at away games. We are better than that…
