I think last year there was a wee bit of trepidation amongst the players. Gerrard’s first job, new coaching staff and new expectations.
We lacked belief against Celtic until the New Year game. (Celtic were and are still the bench mark) After this game the players knew they could match them. Last season we needed more consistency.
This pre season, it feels like all doubt has gone, Gerrard has transformed the club in and off the pitch in professional terms. They trust Gerrard and his staff, there’s a confidence.
DC has always given his all as reported, but even he has upped his training output.
Gone are the worries and self doubt!!
