Agreed on Jones. Think the lineup is spot on.
Jones should start I also think kamara will start ahead of Davis, for me Davis should start but just a feeling gerrard will put fresh legs in the engine room.
I think Kamara might start instead of Aribo, just to give us a bit more defensively in midfield and let the boy see what the game is all about before bringing him on later.
I’ll get shot down for this, but I have some worries about Davis. He did some great things in the Legia game, but he got away with some things too. For me his tackling is indecisive. I know he’s more a playmaker than a CDM, but I’d put Kamara ahead of him in the team. I know Glen looked slightly off in some recent games, but he rose to the occasion in the last OF, so he can certainly cope with the pressure. He’s faster, a better tackler and got similar link-up ability to Davis. Having said that, I don’t think Kamara will start. I just hope Davis’ legs and tackling ability don’t let him down tomorrow.
I’d put Ojo on instead of Jones tomorrow, despite Jordan’s superb assist the other night, mainly because of the physical presence that Ojo brings to the table. Once the opposition’s legs start to tire, Jones is the ideal man to bring on. McGregor, Tav, Flanagan, Katic, Goldson, Jack, Kamara, Ojo, Aribo, Morelos, Arfield.
