Yes he could get the chop so should half the other players that did not turn up against Hearts.
Look, sometimes, maybe we get carried away, expect too much. Do I think we could have been better, shown more strength,more belief since the Winter break? Absolutely!! Has our chance of the league gone? Definitely. But look where we are, how far we have come and how much more we can achieve. Gerrard and his backroom staff have dragged us up to where we deserve to be. We’re not top of the league because we’re no the finished article, nowhere near. However, have faith, it will click and we will see the true Rangers, the players with belief and passion to play for the jersey. We are still a work in progress, Gerrard took on a mammoth task when he agreed to be the gaffer. He’s not a quitter, he will give his all to get us back to our rightful place at the top of the league.

you talk rubbish. Whoever comes in needs to bring in a big target man in mould of an Andy Carrol we hit cross after cross and there is nobody getting on the end of things. We need a guy who can get a settled back four and stop the constant movement of midfielders going out on loan and coming in on loan and the constant buying or loan deals for midfielders Gerrard is midfield daft. At last count we have had nearly 30 midfielders since Gerrard took over and only one striker in Defoe who is 36 and broke down after two full matches and why bring in Kamberi a fecking cup tied player what was the point in that???Warburton was there 9 months he won the championship and won the challenge cup on no money and no players. Gerrard two years with nothing he ñeeds to go and quicker we get somebody in to stop the rot the better. Ok progress in europe but its not a priority. Being honest maybe Warbs should come back.
Since Gerrard has come in we have gone backwards. Two years he has been here, no domestic trophies in two years more than likely Celtic will win title this year same as last year with double figure points and goal difference ahead of us. Progress in europe is not the priority. Gerrard has managed nearly 30 midfielders with terrible failures in Grezda, Coulibaly, Saddique, Ojo, Barker, Jones, King, Dorrans, Ejaria, Hastie etc etc. Only one striker he bought and that was Defoe a 36 year old who broke down as soon as he played two full games, we have been crying out for a big target man but Gerrard buys midfielders like its the only position in a team.
To be honest, we need more than an old fashioned centre forward. We will need cover for:- in between the sticks, Greegs can’t go on too much longer, another centre half for injuries, midfield I think, has plenty of options, and, pushing my neck out, we need 2 quality strikers with a different way of playing. Morelos is now proven (unfortunately) to be un-tameable, and Defoe is now an impact player.

Bairdy don’t even bother engaging earplane (also known as Parlane who continually gets his account suspended for the abuse he posts on here) - he’s just on here to post the same negative vitriol on a never ending repeating loop - save yourself the trouble.
I think your original post is absolutely spot on - let’s keep backing him and see where he can take us for the remainder of the season - hopefully continue the strong showing in the Europa league and recover domestic form and close the gap at least in the league.

I don’t think this is the time to get rid of Gerrard. When you think of where we were before he came. I think we must try get a settled defence rather than all the changes week in week out. Also not sure what is going on with Morelos. How can he go from scoring every week to now can’t even buy a goal. I really though he had got his head together but seem not. You can only give a man so many chances. He seems to end up missing the most important games for one reason or another. S.G. should bring in a target man.for up front. A proven goal scorer .

Think the off field issues created by the press have caused Buffs head to be focused elsewhere unfortunately. Since the break its been nothing but negative stories and horrendous refereeing decisions aplenty. The SFA have ensured they all are doing all they can to hinder this Rangers team and have finally managed to shoot them of all confidence of being able to do anything in the Scottish Leagues.

Winning the league is the priority but progressing in the Europa is generating a lot on money for the club,given where the club was in 2012 that has to be an equal priority.when does the new chairman take over?also what about the new investment Dave King talked about at the AGM?
