Rangers star Ryan Kent would never join Celtic - so why suggest it?

A journalist was clearly trying to mix the pot when he asked Celtic boss Neil Lennon if he ever considered moving for Rangers winger Ryan Kent. The reporter posed the question to Lennon as he strangely grilled the Celtic boss over the £7.5m transfer [Sky Sports] of the Liverpool winger to Ibrox. And regardless of…

Ryan Kent did not make a difference last year as we won nothing with him playing 40 odd games, that included games he played in where we failed to beat Killie, Aberdeen, Hibs etc, and teams will know what to expect from him this year. We will need alot more than Kent to make a difference.

Jeezo are you a Celtic fan mate? Put a sock in it

just being realistic I want gers to win not stand still.

Stand still? Ryan Kent was a stand out last season, we are now stronger with him in the squad. Anyway mate, I think your missing the point of the article. Oh n btw you do sound like one of them…

Willis said and I quote " will Ryan Kent prove to be a difference maker?" All I was doing was answering that question so not sure what point I missed??? As for being one of them, am I not allowed to have a negative thought about Kent? everybody seems to see him as some sort of saviour he is one signing that cost 7 million quid that’s all. I am worried we paid over the odds for a guy who is a decent player but that’s all, one decent season where we won nothing. At a cost of no back up striker when all we have is a 36 year old Dafoe. Dafoe was mince against Celtic and only has a decent goal tally this season because he got three against a garbage hibs side who were down to ten men. Am I not allowed to be worried? Only thing worse than pessimism is over optimistic people who need to take a reality check wake up and smell the coffee. P.S we are not stronger for having him in the squad we are the same as last season…that’s not stronger it’s standing still. Yes stronger this season as we did not have him at the beginning of this season but not any improvement on last year and that is a fact.

Reality check everyone - we’ve lost one game out of 13 but the season is over - and please nobody forget that Kent didn’t win us a trophy single handedly last season so please disregard the fact he was our best player

Well said that’s the spirit, p.s I’m not saying he should have done any of the above or the season is over you sound pathetic and huffy and if someone does not see your point of view they are daft… We may only have lost one our 13 but it was at home against our biggest rivals and every other game that mattered has been a struggle apart from the early rounds of Europe where we were playing teams we should have been beating. You will be the one full of disappointment when the season ends and we have failed not me. If we win brilliant.

That’s the spirit indeed - the pessimist’s mantra - “I’ll either be proven right or pleasantly surprised”
