Rangers captain James Tavernier has called out the offside goal which cost his side the Betfred Cup, describing it as “mind-boggling”. The Ibrox leader felt aggrieved after the officials missed three Celtic players standing in offside positions as the ball came in for Christopher Jullien to score. It’s something which has stuck in the craw…

Yeah we had enough chances to win including a penalty but for a linesman to miss such a blatant offside following last weeks penalty " mistake " again raises the question about the standard of refereeing in this country .Without this we have at least got extra time which, with their players dropping like flies , could have been a game changer.
I know Collum gave us a penalty and we missed it but there was also a blatant one before they scored which he ignored .Even the biased BT commentators thought it was a penalty .
We may have caused our own downfall ,but we are only asking for the rules of the game to be adhered to.

If you listened to SG after the game he made a thinly disguised condemnation of the standard of officiating in Scottish football . Every week our so called top officials make blatant mistakes and are constantly inconsistent. Unfortunately it has been our turn to suffer the consequences of blunders by the officials. Every team has suffered. Game over, we move on. WATP.

No point in worrying about what we cannot change, like officials. People make mistakes.
I prefer to concentrate on the fact that we owned them. We know it and they know it. Last time we went to the Piggery, we owned them and still managed to lose, like yesterday.
Later this month, we need to go there, own them and finish the job

Never a mistake in order to label it a mistake the player would have had to be onside at some point which he never was.

It’s not the official’s fault its got to be difficult to pick out three players offside in a set piece dressed in bright green and white stripes from twenty yards.
