Rangers shareholders Club 1872 have accused BBC Scotland of being “economical with the truth” over claims the Ibrox club did not inform them about the Everyone, Anyone inclusivity campaign. In a new statement, the club’s second-largest shareholders, Club 1872 have also lambasted the broadcaster for their “misleading” and “disingenuous” response. The fan-led group claim that…
Looks like trying to deal with the BBC Scotland directly isn’t going to work, as any complaints made are falling on deaf ears. Take the complaints to the head office, and if that doesn’t work, take the complaints to government or ofcom. We are licence payers after all and deserve more respect.
We need to stop all this BBC bashing, behaving like hard done by victims, suck it up and move on - this is just childish and petulant behaviour that the club needs to move above
Can understand why you feel this way kingholmesball, I am not a fan of constant petty squabbles and also feel sometimes better to just ignore and move on.
In regards to the BBC I have to disagree, there has been constant incorrect, misleading and downright biased reports from the BBC aimed at Rangers football club.
The BBC have not reported on any other club, the way they have with Rangers, every report on our club is heavily negative to the extreme.
The BBC is a publicly funded media outlet and as such should remain neutral and only report the facts.
Rangers fans like any other fan or person in the UK pay our license fee to allow the BBC to operate, yet we alone seem to be constantly derided by this heavily biased media outlet.
The bbc in scotland have shown bias towards our club , it is not petty , this is a publicly funded company and those so called experts are paid from the public purse, there is no pretence , in-fact on Sunday using the get involved button on the live text of the hibs match and place a negative then a positive and wait and see, I watch every home game at the same time as the “ match analyser” you will be amazed at the difference in what they report and you are watching.
Why do we as Rangers fans still listen to this shower , incase any fan who cannot watch the match from inside Ibrox just pay a worldwide (£17.25) subscription to Rangers tv, download a VPN to mask your IP address ( I use a server in Boston) it works out at an average of £4 a game , and best of all OUR CLUB gets the money, I have used this ever since a man in a guest house visiting from new zealand told me that was how he watched the gers, brilliant
I get the argument, but the way the club and fans are responding - petty tit for tat squabbles - isn’t the right way to deal with it for me - it just stokes the flames and the issue (such that it is) keeps rumbling along
We should rise above it, ignore the opinions we don’t agree with, and focus on supporting the team and the club
I see your point , but after watching the game I turned on the radio to hear what the chat on the game was and was shocked very little bad said considering the text reporting was none existent, until dodds while waxing lyrical about the bears and digging at the rugby correspondent said I “better stop” , but I have no need to listen for any gers news as I can watch gers tv now, and as you note my friend I was being petty but no more.
