Interesting that you mention Davis .I love the guy as a player but his penalty miss was miles over the bar where as Tavs have hit the post or been saved.Seems a bit strange that he would be considered as an improvement .

Aye the miss was a bad one, but included him in the reckoning probably as fourth choice because he’s been successful with NI before (think he’d scored his previous three) and as the discussion on candidates/a pecking order with Rangers would have taken place prior to the international break.

Davis missed due to the over the top antics of the Dutch with too much time to think ‘what if’ the ref should have issued a couple of cards and had it taken in short order. I would have no problem having all of the above taking penalties for the Gers.
