Don’t know his definition of lean, but suspect 10 midfield players is not it. Some will have to go. It will be interesting to see if Rossiter, someone I have always liked and rated, makes the cut. And if so, whose jersey he takes.
Yeah, that definition of lean will be interesting. Bielsa has really trimmed Leeds’ squad this season for example, trying to use the same starting XI in as many games as possible and that worked well right up until the end. Doubt Gerrard will be that extreme as would mean more than just a couple of departures in midfield alone.
