Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty had made a fantastic start to his temporary loan move to Hibs after the winter break – but it looks like Doc’s Ibrox career could be at an end after the enforced shutdown of the Scottish game. The former Hamilton star has struggled for opportunities under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox and,…
Have to disagree with SG on this one. We need some players who might not be good enough for Barca away, but will get it done on a Tuesday night at Cappielow. In between first team and second team. Personally, I think Doc is good enough, he has shown it everywhere else he has been. But if SG disagrees, hard to argue. But he should be kept and used where we need his strengths, and to rest a silkier player who doesn’t fancy the hard yards.
Like all our midfield in January and February this year!!
I’d like to see him given some game time back at Rangers. We have all seen how poor some of the performances have been by others this season and i agree with skibadly - we need some grafters as well as crafters…
Docherty is THE exact type of player we need in our squad if we’re ever gonna win the league and cups. He knows the Scottish game like the back of his hand. Fair enough if SG doesny fancy him for the euro’s but for playing in the Scottish game players like Docherty McCrory and even Murphy, who is good enough for the spl and the euro’s imo are built for the Scottish game. SG really needs to start broadening his horizons and start adapting to the Scottish game as well as the European game. The types of Scottish player he keeps over looking are our bread and butter. They boys will run through brick walls aw day long for the jersey, imo !!!
