On Thursday afternoon, Rangers confirmed the temporary departure of Jordan Rossiter. The 21-year-old has joined English club, Bury, on loan until the end of the season. The move arrives with just a few hours left in the transfer window, but there has been speculation over a possible transfer for some time. The midfielder has made…
Although this move appears to be to a lower level than Rossiter would be expected to play at, it is probably all that was available, given his injury history at Ibrox.
Hope he stays fit and manages to get a run of games under his belt, without further injury. If he does, his natural talent should shine through at Bury and he could come back in the summer, ready to fight for a place.
Interestingly, it emerged after this, that he had turned down two League One clubs in favour of joining Bury. Perhaps he fancied a promotion push more than a relegation scrap - but that’s just speculation of course.
Got 45 minutes at the weekend and hopefully, as you say, that ability will soon come to the fore.
Good for Jordan to get some minutes! Hope he does well!
Tonight we saw the best and the worst of Tavernier! Good penalty and laid on Defoe’s goal, but some of his dancing out of tackles was embarrassing…then he berated McCrorie for a bad pass!? Worst of all was his Rugby Tackle on Ferguson for the Aberdeen penalty.
We should play a proper full back and push him forward on the right where he can provide his assists. Defensively he’s not up to it for me! How can he be Captain? If you can’t tackle, how can you criticise others??
