Rangers have confirmed that they will release evidence of SPFL corruption to member clubs ahead of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on an internal investigation. The Ibrox club has been calling for an independent investigation into the corporate governance of the SPFL in the wake of their botched voting process concerning the Scottish league season’s…
It seems straightforward to me, based on the imperfect information in the public sphere.
1)SPFL tried to bounce clubs into a quick decision rather than sending financial assistance and giving them time to think. Why, only they know
2)All clubs sent in their vote by the 5pm deadline. End of. That SPFL cannot organise their Spam filter, a pissup in a brewery etc is neither here nor there.
3)If anybody is allowed to alter their vote after the deadline, then all must be allowed to alter their vote after the deadline, so no result can have been reached.
There are many other issues, but accepting that one alone would allow democracy to return. We can then get on with supporting clubs and investigating corruption.
I have already said this is not for an enquiry this is a matter for the police. I don’t’ know how solid the evidence is. If its mickey mouse it will get brushed under the carpet. Then the vendetta will widen so if you are sure you can get rid of the go for it if not. There will be forever a feud between the two of them. Let’s wait and see.
