Stevie G has been involved in buying or managing all these midfield players. Grezda, Hastie, Barker, Jones, McCrorie, Docherty, King, Murphy, Kamara, Saddiqe, Ejaria, Kamara, Middleton, Holt, Barjonas, Arfield, Ojo, Aribo, 7million! Kent, Stewart, Hagi, Davis, Jack, Rossiter,. A total of 24 players probably more. We won nothing last year, we will win nothing this year. I said right at start of season we need strikers…we have Morelos and 36 year old Defoe that is it. parlane, if I remember rightly, I complained about you not because of your views on football, but for your comments on other people whose opinions disagreed with yours.
As for your views on football, I am also unhappy about yesterday. I was very happy on Wednesday, were you? Why were you not on here after the two Celtic games in December, telling everybody that Gerrard doesn’t know what he is doing?
Gerrard is a new, young, inexperienced manager. Walter Smith bought plenty of players who didn’t make it, was he crap? When we brought in Gerrard, the alternative was McInnes. I still do not think he would be better. Changing managers every season is not a recipe for success. At what point do you judge a manager, 12 months into his careeer? How long does he get to make mistakes? At what point would you have punted Alex Ferguson from Man Utd? How can you say he is never a football manager? He may go on to be the most successful manager in British history, he may not. You cannot know right now.
Should we have bought another striker? Yes. I agree. I do not know why they didn’t, I wanted Shankland on a free, but I do not know what players were sought and failed to come. I am not privy to what goes on behind the scenes - if you are, please enlighten us.
As for lazy reporting of “Jordan and his cronies” why don’t you submit a report of your own and let the editors judge? Show us all how it should be done.
I can understand the wish to lash out when we lose, we all feel that. But attacking other people who support the same club as you seems a strange way to do it. Do you have any examples of this approach working before?
