Point of order - IF he is the “second most expensive in Rangers history behind Tore Andre Flo” then he cannot be "the club’s most expensive signing since Mikel Arteta " as he must have been more expensive than Arteta so has to be the most expensive since Flo.
Hard to be pedantic when I am this happy though 
Last year with Kent we won nothing that was him playing 48 games, no progress in Europe no cups. Now he is worth 7 million and not one English Premiership side interested. We have also brought in ten other players, only one played against Celtic and was subbed because he was hopeless. Not wanting to dampen things but this reeks of desperation to appease fans after an abysmal performance against Celtic. Signings of Barker, Hastie, Jones, Helander, Edumundson etc are to date not strengthening our team. Kent only puts us where we were last year and that was winning nothing. We need team strengthened not static and same as last year and I do not see any improvement as yet.Still only have Morelos and a 36 year old up front…Stewart is not a striker and also will not strengthen our team.
No progress in Europe Parlane ? The year before we got knocked out in the first qualifying round by a team from Luxembourg , last year we got through 4 qualifying rounds unbeaten and had reasonable group games performance.The cups were disappointing but we closed a massive gap in the league to take second easily something we had failed to do the seasons before.A full season of Davis , Defoe and Kamara should strengthen us and some of the new boys will settle in and come good .Young Aribo is a good signing and while he wasnt very good on Sunday , hes not the first player to struggle in their first OF game.Kent didnt do well in his first one , but he was terrific in the other three. We lost on Sunday because we didnt turn up but they same players have proved they can beat Celtic so its a bit early to start with the negativity on the back of one result,

Yes progress was made but I was meaning no progress after Christmas, we were knocked out and that was with Kent. Point I am making is really simple, we had him last year and we never won anything we have him this year but we are 7 million lighter but the squad has no players that will improve the squad in a really serious way. Yes we have a better player when you look at the depth but what’s the point of buying players like Aribo, Jones, King, Barker and both new central defenders when they can’t improve the squad when we play Celtic at home. We should have bought guys who come in and make an immediate impact because other teams are getting stronger. We got beat at ibrox by Celtic, struggled against hibs until they got a player sent off it was 2.1 before they lost a man. A free kick to get a win against St Mirren and a last minute goal against Kille as well as a last minute goal against Legia. As I said it’s dead simple where is the improvement, Kent is a good player but we still won nothing last year and I honestly cannot see where the team is stronger apart from possibly Katic who is obviously fighting for his place. I would have preferred buying players who are a standard above what we have and we don’t have this, if we did they would be playing. Ojo, Aribo, Stewart, King and Jones not better than candyass, McCrorie or Middleton in my opinion and Jones getting sent off for that tackle is another Morelos in the making. Still awful we only have Morelos and a 36 year old up front when we need to stop 9 in a row. As for us beating Celtic you can discount last game Celtic had eyes on a cup final and league was already won. I wanted immediate impact players who win games straight into the team. I think we are standing still where is the proof up to now that says otherwise.
