personally, I think we would be closer. He had a tendency to float out of hard games, but we have Arfield for them. How many silly points have we dropped against teams we should be putting away? Why? because we don’t have Windass and didn’t replace him.
Even SG admits he needs a Number 10, Windass has not been replaced. Wake up, it has probably cost us the league and the scum will be stronger next season. So hate Windass by all means, if 10 IAR doesn’t bother you.
Very much agree with this @skibadly. Stats aren’t everything but it’s simply undeniable that it was the wrong decision to let him go without a direct goalscoring replacement.
He wasn’t always there when needed in big games, but he did score away at Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen in the league, as well as in an Ibrox Old Firm…
