The agent of Rangers defender Borna Barisic has claimed the Gers ‘won’t be able to keep him’ this summer after his performances for the Light Blues – and Gers fans on Twitter are torn over whether to keep him or cash in. After a difficult first season at Ibrox, the Croatian international has become an…

Why would he want to stay? We haven’t won anything and need major changes in the summer anyway…we should sell Goldson (probably only get enough for a bag of crisps) and Tav. Our defense needs an overhaul.

Rebuilding required (again). Please learn from King Graeme - the spine of the team has to have physicality and the mentality to wear a Rangers jersey. If that means losing Barisic (and Morelos) so be it to strengthen the team, then do it. Worried that Stevie G is our Liam Brady and thinks midfielders are the key to everything. Souness led the way and Sir Walter followed that philosophy. Desperate for Stevie G to be successful but he must have more than a Plan A.

I agree with selling him for good money. At times he has added an extra dimension to our play, getting forward and putting in some great crosses. However at times he is definitely timid, especially at high balls , or when the going gets physical. Good player but surely we could get another real left back, not flannagan, in at a fraction and reinvest in a big target man, eg dykes plus a creative goal scoring midfielder. We have no physical presence when the going gets tough

The whole point of our scouting network is to find cheaper, better players we can buy and develop to sell on. If we never sell, there is no incentive to come here and no path for the youth. We have 3 other right backs waiting for Tavernier’s jersey. Certainly one seems to have the pace and mind to play wingback.
So, as long as we get top dollar and have a replacement lined up, let him go, with our blessing. that way other promising players will see us as a path to the wealth of the big leagues.
We would hopefully let Kamara go after the Euros for big money too. Bring Docherty home and find another midfielder with steel to replace Kamara and Davis, who will play much less next season.
Sell a CB if we get a good offer and bring in one with more pace and a pass.
Sell Morelos and find two more strikers, Kamberi, Nisbet and Shankland all options for one of the jerseys, find a good young player somewhere else for the other.
But we need players who understand that in Scotland you will get kicked to shit and just have to get on with it, yet are still capable of doing well in Europe where they play football, not our version of Rollerball -Google it if you are under 55, great film with James Caan
