Rangers announced their latest annual financial results tonight with a loss of £11.3 million the main talking point – despite some positive figures elsewhere. The figures were announced on the club website as part of the annual report and revealed the club has spent £30millions on players over the last three years. (Photo by Mark…
So, we have lost £25 million in two years having spent £30 million on players in that time. Fine
Morelos, Aribo, Kamara, Barisic would all find very eager buyers and together would raise £30, £10, £8 and £20 million. Not that I think we should sell any of them, just pointing out that the money has been invested well even when you look at some of the tragedies.
Morelos will go in the summer and for enough to clear that £30 million spend. Look at the rest of the team and tell me it is not light years ahead of where we were two years ago

I am only interested in winning trophies and the league. However money is an issue when you bring in or have King, Edmundsun, Barker, Murphy, Grezda, Katic, Polson, Flanagan, Halliday all fit and having minimal contribution. Especially when Aribo and Ojo are playing but are inconsistent. If I was a financial Controller at
Ibrox I would be going nuts all these guys must be picking up decent money and are not doing much. My own opinion is bring back Hastie and Middleton get rid of King and promote our own talent.
Parlane , are you really a Rangers fan ? We dont actually have a player called Polson which I would think any real Rangers fan. would know. If King is still putting money in then he is doing what the fans keep screaming for and speculating to accumulate .We have had to more or less pay off guys like Dodoo and Dorrans and we have players out on loan that we cannot get rid off however what we now have is saleable assets like Morelos , Tav , Kamara , Barisic , Kent and even Jack. This is a big improvement on previous years .The players you mention are needed for the squad and apart from maybe Grezda wont be on big wages .I agree though we should return King in January as he hasn`t featured and look to get rid of some others .
Wigers4ever I don’t have any issue with King the chairman he is doing a grand job, I never even mentioned him. As for Polson it was a simple spelling error, I meant Polster and I would think “any real Rangers fan” would have known that, Wigers4ever “are you really a Rangers fan”? When you talk about saleable assets yes it true we have them the biggest two being Tav and Morelos both not brought in by Gerrard. Kent I would not include as I think he was vastly overpriced and if we sold him we would be lucky to get back what we paid unless he becomes a fixture in the squad and starts influencing games on a consistent basis and against european opposition and Celtic he is not even an international. Gerrard has said himself players will need to be off loaded and I stick by what I said above. We have on the payroll Jones, Barker, Middleton, Hastie, Aribo, Ojo, Murphy, Kent Stewart and even Halliday that can play in the same position that’s virtually a whole team. But we rely on Tav for the right side it’s bonkers, only guy that can really play there is Hastie and he is out on loan, and we let candyass go for virtually nothing. We have to many guys picking up wages for nothing that list does not include Polster, King, Flanagan, Grezda and Edumundson these 5 have only started and played in a handful of games between them this season. I worry about our financial affairs and I think I have every right to be given our history. Yes I am a Rangers supporter, a wee spelling error does not make me not one. I disagree about wages, King did not come from Premiership for nothing, Edmundsun, Barker, Ojo and Aribo would have been on big money down south they will be getting it here, Murphy, Flanagan, Katic, Jones and Halliday will also be on a decent salary. All I am saying is we need to trim the squad given the financial results and Gerrard needs to be a bit more careful on who he brings in. He also needs to sort out what he does with players on loan and non contributers BarJonas, Docherty, Rossiter, Herrera, Grezda, King, Polster, Flanagan etc.
