For that money I expect him to be 2 and a half times the player Katic is… I’m doubtful of that, but in Gerrard we trust! More to the point though can we start shifting some of the dead weight out of our bloated squad already! Rossiter leaving on loan isn’t really enough . I assume we are probably still paying a good amount of his 10k a week wages. Herrera, Lafferty, Grezda, Dorrans, Holt, Dodoo, one of the keepers need to go, and not on loans.
We had spent next to nothing on our signings up until now so I was hoping that we had held our transfer budget back for a couple of quality signings .This could be one ,and dont be surprised if Roofe joins without Morelos going out .We do need to trim the squad but there is still time to get rid of a few , we just need to get things done early. By the way Mike , Herrera is still ours in name only , his loan will see out the end of his contract .We wont get a fee but we won`t be paying his wages either .
Really doubt that is true about Herrera Wigers, I’d be delighted if it was but I don’t see some mid table Mexican outfit paying him 20k a week in wages when he only played around a dozen games for them last season. I’d be surprised if they were even paying half of that.
