Rangers fans have voiced their disappointment at Jordan Jones’ display in the Scottish Cup win over Stranraer at Ibrox. The 25-year-old missed the majority of the first half of the season with a serious knee injury sustained against Celtic at the start of September. Jones limps off after being sent off against Celtic. I agree with the latter end of the article I say give the guy a chance he definitely has what it takes, can anybody be at their best after such a long time recovering from injury in a few games he’ll be hammering assits and goals guaranteed.
I agree with the comments. Jones has talent, but he didn’t show it tonight. Could argue he didn’t have a Barisic behind him, but Halliday at least worked at it, although he doesn’t have Patterson’s talent.
I think we added one player to the 1st team squad tonight, lost one (Barker), finally decided one was not worth pursuing (Ojo) and should give one a further chance (Jones)
The thought that struck me last night was that Jones is not comfortable playing "narrow " like we want him too and is an out and out winger .I dont think I would get rid of him yet but he really needs to get up to speed quickly and start to contribute which he hasnt done up to now.I don`t think he , Ojo or Barker beat a man all night and its time for the latter two to be dumped.Ojo is not interested and Barker just does nothing .We should get rid of them and keep Middleton and Murphy who would at least give more effort than these two.
