Late on Monday evening, it was reported by multiple sources, including STV, that Ryan Jack is set to be called up by Scotland. Steve Clarke’s side are due to take on Russia and Belgium next month, in back-to-back crunch Euro 2020 qualifiers at Hampden Park. Scotland lost 3-0 in Belgium back in June. (Photo by…

I feel that our choices of International players has been all too predicable. We play in Scotland in a League that has no real depth. Rangers and Celtic have exploited this for years. This will never change, but it does not make them International players. Anyone who is a quality player should use and do use this as a shop window if they are good enough. If they are not good enough and no one comes for them they have found their level. Any player with ambition would go to these divisions namley Premiership or Championship, also in Europe the leagues are better this is known fact. These are the teams that put our teams out of Europe most year after year. The financial difference in playing for one of these teams are enormous, An average player can go from 20-30k per week to 130k per week this is a no brainer. So if no one has come for you, you have reached your peak. Which begs the question why do we select players who play in a league that is of a lesser standard. When we have quite a few young players that play in England in the two top divisions including Europe. Some are unknown or little is known about them. however they play week in week out, at a much higher level than our players do in Scotland. Have a look some you may know already, https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/premier-league-scots-you-might-12219323 I hope that Mr Clarke having been down south for many years will observe this. Hopefully he will not let the papers select the team like so many before him. Otherwise we will not be going to the next competition again.

I see no answer its probably too factual.

Ryan needs to join Scotland squad and play some part just to see how bad some Scots fans particularly up north treat him because let’s be honest it’s not the great unwashed that’s booing him as there team is Republic.
