Rangers, like the rest of Scottish football, have been left waiting to find out what the next steps will be after the Scottish FA ordered the shutdown of all football north of the border – and Ibrox directors may have to dig deep to help keep the club afloat over the coming months. With fears…
Surely the players can help out a bit and not take their wages or at least a large percentage cut after all they are sitting on their thumbs.
Danny, they, just like the rest of us,have bills to pay etc. I am obviously concerned and know where you’re coming from but I’ m worried more about the people that work behind the scenes at all our clubs who will be in financial difficulty because of the shutdown.
Rangers income from home league games is fairly small as the ground is almost sold out with season tickets which is money already collected .Yes , we will miss out on catering sales etc but against that we will have no match day police , stewarding and utilities costs or travelling and hotel costs for away games…
If we are in trouble , then god help the rest of the league .We may have nobody to play when football resumes.
The Scottish Govt should be helping out , after all it was them that called a halt to everything.
