Rangers boss should take Gers ace out of side to face Hamilton after Euro display

Rangers take on Hamilton at Ibrox tomorrow in the Scottish Premiership as they look to get back to winning way after the disappointment on Thursday’s loss against Young Boys – and Gers boss Steven Gerrard should leave Sheyi Ojo out of the side for the players’ own good. Skipper James Tavernier has been the focal…

I agree Ojo should be dropped due to form but by the same theory shouldn’t Tav be dropped too? At the moment Tav, Goldson, Ojo, Arfield and Jack must pretty much think that they will play every game, because they do. I’m not having a go at these players, some of them do deserve a start, they are all good players when they play their best but we don’t want complacency.

Totally agree with you Mike , you canny drop one because of poor performances then let others keep their place , that’s what breeds inconsistencies with players that aren’t pulling their weight , they 2 schoolboy howlers by Tav should result in him being dropped for Hamilton game at least whether just to prove to him he’s not immune from being dropped for poor performances like that against young boys or just to give him a rest , consistency is the key and it also keeps the team on their toes and feeling that others aren’t getting preferential treatment .:red_circle::white_circle::large_blue_circle::black_flag:󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿:black_flag:󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿:black_flag:󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Trouble is, you can’t drop everyone who had a poor game and keep some continuity.
Goldson will survive because Helander has a knock, although once the Swede is fit again I would rest Goldson. Tavernier could also do with a spell out but he won’t replace many.
Ojo and Arfield could both do with watching a game or two, to make game time for those who need it as well as to rest them and show nobody owns a jersey. But i doubt we will see too many changes

Whilst we don’t want to bite our nose off to spite our face, by making too many changes and losing Vital points in the League, we must have consistency.
Along with Ojo, Tav must be dropped - Polster or Flanagan to replace him.

Tav always seems to be the target when we have a bad result. Agreed, he made a couple of mistakes on Thursday but he has consistently been one of our best players for a couple of seasons. Ojo has been poor since the start of the season and, had he not scored against Feyenoord, he would have been slaughtered for that performance as well. Another Ojaria, overawed by his surroundings.

If Polster does not get a start against Hamilton after Tav’s performance and the fact that he looked tired and has had a difficult week I would not be surprised if he became pissed off, dissolutioned and feeling totally unwanted. if Polster cannot get a start after last week’s shambles it will look as if the only way he will get a start is if somebody cuts one of Tav’s legs off. As for Helander he was also at fault at both goals and should be dropped, Katic back in as he has not put a foot wrong or a head for that matter.
