Following three consecutive Premiership victories and clean sheets, it’s unlikely Steven Gerrard will make many alterations to his team for Sunday’s trip to Parkhead. In our Predicted XI, we’ve gone for just the two. Alfredo Morelos for Jermain Defoe is the first. The Colombian proved to be the match-winner off the bench on Boxing Day,…
Davis to start for me.
Kamara hasn’t done anything wrong, the reason I am picking Arfield is the right hand side has been poor but the last few games he has been bringing the best out in Aribo and Tavernier, and forming a good relationship, he is filling in and protecting Tavernier’s position when Tav bombs forward, and he looks better facing the ball rather than back to goal, he looks more productive and has a good work rate.
I’d drop Tavernier and play Ryan Jack at right back. Tavernier is too easily beaten by quick wingers–whereas Jack know how to stop them. So–it is Davis in for Jack–and Rangers to win 3-1.
Davis will start, no doubt about that.
Kamara to drop out, Jack is irreplaceable in midfield and Arfield is playing well again now that he has moved back into midfield. Arfield also offers a goal threat, which Kamara doesn’t.
