I watched the last 25 minutes…at 82 minutes, Barisic tried to dribble out of the 18 yard box, was robbed of the ball, leading to a cross that gave a clear chance to Azerbaijan, which they should have scored.
There’s talk that now Flanagan is out, this will be his big chance to impress?? Really?? Looking at that incident, he shouldn’t be considered at all! What’s wrong with trying out the youngster at Left Back, from the U21’s? He can’t be worse than Barisic?.
He really is low on confidence - I’ll agree with Parlane on one thing which is I think he deserves a proper run in the team to build that confidence and see if he can’t return to the sort of form that got him the move + the Croatia call up in the first place
