Was Bale not playing as the main striker ? Wilson was playing on the right wing so you cant really say Barisic tamed Bale .It is incredible though that he gets a game at all from what we have seen , but maybe well get a decent fee because of it ,when we boot him out the door.
The fact that someone who is not shining in Scotland can cement a place in the 5th best team in the world tells me either Scotland is the world’s most competitive league and our teams should be finalists in all European competitions OR we play in a very physical league with dirty play that would not be allowed in international football.
I read that Manchester City made the fewest tackles in the league last season, but somehow still managed to do alright. In Scotland Rangers players get halved and there is no foul.

Think he was drifting about up top, pulling into wide areas the odd time (basically allowed to do whatever he wants by Giggs!) - so he came up against him a few times. Barisic came out yesterday saying he was pleased with how he handled the challenge of marking him
