Worrying reports surrounding talented Finnish international Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara have intensified as reported Premier League interest hots up. Earlier reports suggested that four Premier League clubs are monitoring the progress of the talented midfielder, with the likes of Crystal Palace and Brighton leading the pack [Daily Mail]. Burnley and Aston Villa are also said…
If they want him they can have him for the right amount of cash (8 or 9 million) at the end of the season. Don’t want any regular starters leaving in January though. After we get 55 then I’m happy for a few of our players to go but it’s always risky trying to bring in new faces to the starting 11 mid way through a season. We could bring in a decent replacement for Kamara for a few million you’d imagine but there is no guarantee he’d fit in straight away… Still if we need money then rather we sold him than Alfie.
Why would any o our players want to play for any o the afore mentioned clubs when we’re playing in Europe every season and fighting for the league and cups while the club’s mentioned are always gonna be fighting at the wrong end o the EPL table. Our top players could play in any o the top teams in the EPL so why would they go to the club’s mentioned, apart from the wage there’s no contest really!
As you stated money would be a huge factor as football is a short career this in itself would be reason enough to move for many people. Not only that but if a player believes in his ability they may want to move to a lowly club in premiership to put themselves in the shop window for a move to bigger club, as an example look at Robertson and in the future McGinn will probably get a bigger move. Also who would you rather play against Ross County and St Johnstone with around 7,000 fans in the frozen Scottish Highlands or to capacity crowds against the likes Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham in London and both Manchester clubs and Liverpool? you would not need european football as you would be playing the European Champions and some of the top sides in Europe week in week out.
