If you could trade all three points against Porto for another two against Hearts, most Rangers fans would probably bite your hand off. The domestic league campaign and the Scottish Premiership remain the holy grail for Rangers fans, even if there’s the prospect of a mouth-watering trip to Portugal on the horizon. In general, our…

I would like to see a settled Central Defence. The chopping and changing has proved to interfere with consistency. I really don’t care who the partnership is but having a settled defence helps the four defenders to understand each others roles, styles, strengths and weaknesses. It also helps both the midfield and goalkeeper as playing styles of individual players becomes clearer. I understand the need to make changes if players are injured but to change things and then say it’s because one player is more suited to domestic football or a european style is bull, it reeks of a manager finding an excuse to play a player to justify the signing. Helander was at fault for young boys second goal his clearing header was awful. If he had cleared it properly they would not have gained possession and scored. If anyone is unsure check it on YouTube.

Second goal was Helander’s fault?? the ball came from half way in their half and was tav at fault just like at tynecaste big fan of tav but last few games the boys been rank rotten.
And yes 2 styles of defenders personally I would take Katic over Helander but I agree in Europe Katic is to aggressive in the air and in a tackle yes Helander is more likely to make bad “judgements” so far but is also far less likely to be booked early Or worse sent off And gives less “silly freekicks away” in Europe domestically these aren’t fouls but in Europe they are more sneaky in buying fouls so I get his point in that. Biggest problem this season is the whole only showing up for 1/2 a game apart from tynecastle and the game against the mob we have played awesomely one 1/2 and diabolically the other.
Tav needs dropped for a week or 2 get him back to where he was a couple of weeks back, ojo needs a lot of work still and would be a sub for me rather than a regular when we have Jones and Kent back
Boys got some talent but rarely produces enough during the game and fails to link up with almost everyone
Other than that team looks pretty strong and in a good position need to keep the pressure on now both teams will drop points from now till may so need to keep the guys fired up

Everybody is blaming Tav for 2nd goal and rightly so as he had a big part to play however watch it on youtube, commentary is "“Helander with booming header” at this point we were under the cosh he headed the ball straight to an opponent there was nobody near him, he could easily have knocked it to the left or right any decent defender would have done that as it is a basic way of playing, you knock it out wide so that the opponent if shooting has a narrow angle, there is also less chance of it falling to an opponent when they are pushing for a winner and more of a chance it will land at one of our wider players or go out for a throw in where we can then regroup. His woeful header led to the goal, watch it again he had three rangers players in front of him a cushioned header to one of those players would also have been better option, out of all the safe options he panicked and gave away possession with seconds remaining. I also think Tav needs rested I would play Katic he needs to play in European matches to gain experience and become a better player. Helander for me is never a player worth what we paid he was also at fault for first goal as he should have seen danger and cut out the cross but he was slow and laboured and was unaware of man coming in behind him. Time for a Edmundson and Katic partnership.
