I couldn’t agree more on this topic. Katic was brought in and built a partnership with goldson. Watching goldson and joe together you can clearly see that the partnership isn’t as solid as it should be. He’s also made it clear that this is only a stepping stone for him to get game time, if that’s the case go on loan to another club, we need consistency at the back and we don’t get that from him! Katic on the other hand can be as solid as a rock at times, he knows the game well and from coming from overseas he has stepped into our game quite easily. It’s a no brainer that we either terminate joe and send him packing or he just sits on the bench for cover. I understand that Stevie is trying to get the best out of all of his players but when you’re a constant liability to your team mates maybe it’s time for a change.

100 percent. It really makes me wonder whether Worrall has something in his contract, because surely Gerrard can see that he just isn’t cutting it. Katic would take a while to get back into the swing of things, but I think he has a better case to be playing than Worrall does.
David, like you I think it is so obvious that I can’t help but think there is another reason like a contract clause.
Because it is clear to a blind man that Worrall is not the answer, that Katic and Goldson were doing well until SG killed Katic’s confidence by dropping him and he has since been shaky when called upon.
there could be another reason, something about Katic, that we don’t know about. But it seems very strange. best solution would be for Worrall to go home in January and we bring in a youth player as cover, or go get Halkett next month instead of on a pre-contract. Don’t want the boy from Milwall, Halkett is proven in this league, so save money for where we need to spend it
