BBC Scotland pundit Michael Stewart has claimed Rangers are losing money at an “alarming rate” as he questioned Steven Gerrard’s decision to take charge at Ibrox. The one-time Rangers trialist doesn’t think the Gers have the “financial clout” to catch Celtic and admits he was “surprised” Gerrard took the reins in the summer. (Photo by…

that’s funny as they made a 5 million profit in January
so I dont kn ow how they are losing money when they made a profit
peeps like you should mind their own business END OFF

Yes, But Alan you must be forgetting - this is Michael Stewart, duff pundit and part time Rangers Acountant making the statement - lol

The signing of Gerrard has seen an increase in revenue due to the European run which is the only place that we can make money , so he has already been a success . We now also have 2 players who can raise good money if sold , which is another financial plus. We owe no money to anyone as it is the directors who have put up the cash .We are likely to be second which is better than we have been although not what we want and also means one less qualifying round in Europe. Although we have fallen away recently we have proved that we can compete with the current squad even although some of them have not been a success .When he had to bring in 15 players in the summer it is inevitable that some will not be a success but with little prep time they qualified in Europe . Any club would expect some failures in 15 signings. This summer I expect 4 or 5 better quality signings and a better challenge next season and so do these pundits that is why they are trying to put pressure on Gerrard and Morales. They should be careful what they do ,with Rodgers gone and if Gerrard goes then there will be no interest in our league outwith this wee country.

Michael Stewart. Who is he? What qualifications does he have to comment on Rangers’ finances??

Did Rangers’ last set of financial results not show a profit? Was there not a share issue quite recently where all the directors that had lent the company money, had all the loans turned into shares?

So, we have a company with no debt, profits from the last 6 months’ results. A group of directors, worth hundreds of millions of pounds, who have already invested their own money and not asked for a penny back, or for heir efforts?.

So we have no money, no plan and spiralling debts.

I think the best thing “Rangers reject” Michael Stewart should do, is keep his bitter mouth closed, or maybe just speak about things he know about, which, by the sound of things, is not very much
