Right, for starters, any talk of Gerard being sacked is ridiculous. Sure, he may still be showing a little inexperience at times, but few can argue just how much he has brought us back to almost where we belong. Next season will tell, because THATS the title we MUST win! However, as far as this season goes, domestically, we can hardly put any blame on Gerard! Look at the evidence over the season of points dropped, and even in games we’ve won. We’re up against a corrupt SFA who are making sure it’s damn impossible for us to win the title before they make sure Celtic break all records! They’re the sfa’s money maker right now, and have every inch of protection. From this perspective, and as I say we have plenty of evidence over the season that refs have it in for us, can we actually put ANY blame on Gerard? He is irreplaceable right now and sacking him would put us back five years at least!

Steven Gerrard has brought prestige to this club and world wide attention, he has been instrumental behind the scenes on raising standards on every aspect of running a football club.
He has brought in over £32m+ in revenue from European football, that in itself is an awful achievement.
How on earth can Steven Gerrard be held responsible for individual errors, neither is it anything to do with tactics it’s individual errors that is costing us.
Maybe wearing the Rangers jersey is weighing to much on some of these players shoulders, and will never meet the demands, the responsibility and the winning mentality of wearing a Rangers jersey.
I put a post on, last night, basically saying it’s the players that are at fault, not the Manager!
We need to be planning now for next season, by getting rid of those who’ve had chances and haven’t delivered a Title Winning Performance!
We need to cash in on Morelos ( if we still can). He’s a good player, when available, but he’s useless when he’s suspended!! I also believe, and have said it many times, Tavernier isn’t a captain. I didn’t see him doing a John Greig, on Sunday. He can’t give guys a gee up, or a rollicking, because he isn’t a good defender himself. If we can get money for him, we should take it!
Then we should use the money to get some players with “balls”, together with some of the fantastic young players we’ve got in the Under 20’s.

Couple of you boys are deluded if you think this is all down to individual errors and it’s nothing to do with Gerrard! - he started the usual 433 at Perth that hasn’t worked for ages AGAIN were our midfield 3 are outnumbered and resort to passing it sideways or backwards, or centre forward is isolated with no service. He changed it to 442 wit his Kamberi and we started hurting St Johnstone and then what does he do, change it back for the last 15 or whatever and we stop creating chances and lose a goal! His tactics are rotten. 2 seasons he has given us a terrible defence, , the team has no leaders to stand up and be counted, we are short up top. I could go on but I won’t. I don’t think we can afford to replace him and he may come good but let’s not get deluded and pretend he’s a messiah when he’s won’t zero and is once again double figures behind Celtic…his management has a LOT to be desired.
We had a good few scots in the squad who know what Scottish football is like at these grounds and he give none of them a sniff. I’m talking about Murphy, Doherty, Mcrorie, Hastie, Stewart. All boys who will give all for 90 minutes and know what’s required. Gerrard overlooked them for the likes of Jones, Barker, Ojo failing to learn from his horrendous signing of Ejaria who he wouldn’t drop! Not good enough, not by a long way and anyone thinks Steven Gerrard has turned this club around I’d say show me the trophies, show me the winning mentality, show me the solid foundations of a defence or team for that matter! He better hope he can learn from his mistakes because it’s Gerrards team, Gerrards tactics, Gerrards subs so if they’ve aren’t performimg and can’t handle the pressure then it’s Gerrards fault for not knowing what’s was required for Scotland. No ifs buts or maybes I’m afraid. For me any manager worth his salt who has our facilities and academy(the best in the country by a long way), who has been giving around £25m and signed over 30 players and has still failed to build a consistent team with heart, who still doesn’t know his best tactics, or best defensive partnership, who has won nothing and fell behind the one team that should cause us a worry by double points again has omg way to go before he’s considered anything like what our football club require…
We are Rangers, every season is a must win!
