On Monday afternoon, the SFA announced Steve Clarke as the new Scotland manager. The 55-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the national team and will be bidding to lead them to Euro 2020. That can only be good news for Steven Gerrard.

Steve Clarke receives far too much praise for his ‘achievements’ with Kilmarnock. Always so negative, packing defense and midfield and lumping ball up the park. Part reason for his ‘success’ was playing on a pitch that should be outlawed by the authorities. The only manager to make Craig Levein look positive. Won on Sunday with an offside goal and a dive for the penalty. Well suited to Scotland job, as they are hopeless too.
