If everything breaks down going forward with him, what does that say about every other fullback and winger in the country?
He has 20 assists. I don’t think anyone else comes close to that. So their crosses must be worse, same for their recycling of the ball. What is your opinion of Kent? He has 4 assists and about the same number of goals if you discount penalties, although the nerve to take them is a skill in its own right - ask Dundee United!! So Kent must be absolutely pish. The “best” footballer in Scotland, James Forrest, got 9 assists, half of someone who is overrated and abysmal.
Please let me know what you would consider a decent crosser of the ball to get in terms of assists? We did outscore every other team in the league. Candeias had 7 league assists, Arfield 6.
As for can’t defend, he has made mistakes yes. So does every other defender in the game. But Tav pays it back with goals and assists, more than anyone else. When he goes forward, the CDM should be covering. We defend as a team and almost halved the goals against column this season, 2nd best in the league.
Who would you replace Tavernier with? What do their stats look like?
