Rangers fullback James Tavernier might be enjoying the greatest defensive goalscoring season in Rangers history, but he has been left off the PFA Scotland shortlist for Player of the Year (POTY) And before the naysayers begin chanting about how 14 of his 16 strikes were from the penalty spot, those spot kicks also don’t tell…
James…you’re having a laugh? Tavernier is a good player going forward, but one of the worst defenders in Scotland! He jumps out of tackles, turns his back at vital moments and through a dreadful mistimed and misplaced back pass virtually handed Celtic the title on a plate! Player of the year? Disaster of the Year is more like it!
Agree if he gets his act together he could run up and down wings all day defence wise he craps tackles but you have to go in
# and give them big licks NSE ,
