He is a legend as a player and he deserves massive praise for holding things together during the Whyte catastrophe but that doesnt tell the whole story with him . He was dreadful as a manager before the trouble started , lost twice in Europe in the same season costing us cash that may or may not have staved off what was to follow and, blew a 15 point league before the money problems .He was a dreadful manager in the lower leagues bringing in players who couldnt even cut it at that level and paying others wages that they never earned .He cost us an extra year out of the top division .He then did walk away with a lot of shares which he failed to vote at an important time .Now he has gone back to the media for his wages and like a lot of the rest earns it by doing the bidding of his masters by slagging us off .I find it particularly annoying when he comments on " managerial issues " when he was hopeless as a manager and has no right to criticise the ability of others ,If he sticks to commenting on scoring and missing then he is in an area that he is an expert.
Personally I have no time for him now and that goes for Boyd , Thompson , Rae,both Ferguson brothers , Dodds and any of the others who earn their 50 pieces of silver the way they do .It is their right , but it is my right to disown them as ex Rangers .They should all take their lead from wee Nacho , not brought up a Bluenose ,but a true one now.
