Is it time BBC boycott of Rangers ended?

Only in Scotland would the national broadcaster refuse to cover the affairs of the country’s biggest club. Only in Scotland would a BBC boycott of the country’s biggest club last almost three years and show no signs of stopping. It is, quite frankly, ridiculous. The boycott came after Rangers banned BBC Reporter Chris McLaughlin in…

My understanding that no one is Banned from Ibrox. Mr Mclaughlin has had his press privileges withdrawn.

He is free to attend any match, but the BBC made the “UDI” decision themselves to self exclude. This of course has been played out as a Ban which is never was. If BBC Scotland was a commercial organisation rather than a state subsidised propaganda employer, then I am sure this would never arisen.

The BBC are petty to the extreme and we are all aware of the Editorial narrative that they espouse,

I would suggest that the club or its supporters take this up with their elected representatives, as Pacific Quay has gone and remain rouge.

He’s never been banned, it suits those in charge at BBC Scotland to characterise this as such. Its part of their continuing efforts to demonize the club. When you employ Richard Gordon, Tom English, Michael Stewart etc who never utter a good word about the club you’re setting a recruitment pattern which must be envied by those in the east end of the city. As licence payers we should be entitled to parity of esteem from our national broadcaster however spme of the utterances coming from them makes them sound like St Pats equivalent of Pravda. The only way anything will change is for a root and branch review to be carried and on that day I’ll be riding a unicorn outside Pacific Quay.
