He sums up exactly the key issue holding Scottish football back over the last few decades. Promising talent who chooses to focus on the physical side of the game rather than developing technically. I’d throw the same accusation at McInnes and McKenna at Aberdeen after their confession on how to deal with Morelos. McKenna has gone backwards in the last season or two and Porteous looks likes his promising career has stalled and he’ll look back in a few years and wonder what could have been.
