Until freddo scores against them his value is gonna be no where near that of edouard, its plain and simple fact that Edouard takes his chance against us everytime and scores in the games that matter.
The type of goals Edouard scores are weighted because of their importance and impact on games, league titles etc. Morelos doesn’t do it at the same level. It’s like comparing Kris Boyd and Henrik Larsson.
Morelos is decent but hadn’t made an impact at a higher level or won any medals. I Edouard has 2 trebles, has been introduced to international football and scored 4 important goals in 2 games. He’s also showing that level at a younger age than Morelos.
That’s the difference between £9m Edouard and the now £30m Edouard. Morelos is somewhere in between. Probably £10m to £12m.
Agree with both posts. He scores goals but misses a lot of chances and cannot score against his biggest rivals. For a guy who barely speaks a word of English, is not wanted at international level and has had a serious disciplinary record which may or may not improve, 30 million is a huge risk. So in answer to your question I see the Celtic player as worth more, he is younger, speaks other languages, has a great discipline, scores against his main rivals and more importantly is highly regarded by the french national team and has already impressed this season for the under 21’s. One other important point is that Edouard was valued at around 10 million before he even went to Celtic from PSG. Also he has a great record playing internationals at youth level, in fact whilst playing for the under 17’s he scored 15 goals in 12 appearances when France won the European under 17 championship beating Germany 3 nil with Edouard scoring all three. I don’t think Morelos actually comes close to the Frenchman’s valuation.
Yep Morelos is class and has the potential to get into that bracket, but he’s got a way to go yet in the big games
